Blue Moon Drive-in
The Blue Moon Drive-In Theater is located at 4690 U.S. Highway 43 in Gu-Win, Alabama, halfway between the cities of Guin and Winfield. Originally built in 1956, it became known as the Blue Moon Drive-In in 1996. The theater is currently closed for the season and will reopen on February 13th for a special Victorian Valentine's Weekend event. This event features a unique mystery experience where guests can participate in solving a lantern-lit mystery before enjoying the feature film, 'The Illusionist.' The drive-in offers a variety of themed concessions, including Sweetheart Popcorn Mix and Victorian Spiced Cocoa. The sound system operates on FM radio frequencies, with the front screen broadcasting at 91.1 FM and the back screen at 107.1 FM. While outside food is not allowed, the concession stand provides a range of snacks and drinks. Pets are welcome as long as they are leashed. For those interested in attending, tickets are available at the gate, and advance tickets can be purchased online, although they are not recommended due to additional costs. The drive-in encourages visitors to arrive early to secure a good parking spot.
